View Full Version : Can't rename FX folders

Hi,

Wasn't sure if this belonged here or in FR, but its small so I'll put it here.

Basically, as the title says, I cant rename FX folders I've made, which is really annoying! Is it just me (like a bug(, or can you really not do it?

If not, could you please consider adding this in a future update! I'm sure it would only take a line or two of code :P

No, I don't think you can. I can't rename FX folders either. Just delete it and create a new one is the best way to do it at the moment.

Or maybe it's possible to rename a folder by editing your config data in X:\Documents and Settings\[USER]\Application Data\Reaper?

+1. Renaming and also reordering of the FX folders would be good.

We can rename user FX folders, but I'd really like to be able to re-order them!

No we can't...or if there's a trick to it, please share!

But we definitely *should* be able to both rename and reorder the folders, this is another of those "little things" that should get done to tighten up the overall presentation of Reaper IMO.

Right-clicking on an fx folder offers two options: Create New Folder and Remove Folder.

I'm looking at it right now, what am I missing???

This is sort of related:

For reasons that I can't discern, some shortcuts in ME show up with just the folder name and some show up with the whole folder path - there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it.
