It may just be me but I would really prefer it if there was only one type of FX window and that is the FX chain window.

Maybe you could have a little button to close the chain bit at the side (like there is at the top for the comment and preset drop downs) but regardless of whether you click on the FX button in TCP and/or MCP, or you click on the insert panel IMHO it would be best if the FX chain window appeared.

What I'm saying is that I don't really see the utility in the single FX window which appears when you click on the insert panel.

Readily conceded. But if you could open/close the side panel as you can the top . . . ?

It's nice to be able to do both. I tend to click in the FX list.

- Click opens the fx, minimized
- Ctrl-Click open the fx chain

Personally, if presets were available in the minimized view, i'd rarely have to open the chain. But they're not, so i do. :D

Anyway, having both available is handy.

Teej, I forgot to say, looking forward to hearing more of your stuff on Reaper Radio when I get a chance to tune in next.

Nice of you to say, Spike. thanks!

I'm finding the whole Reaper Radio thing very educational. First, i'm blown away by how good most of these mixes sound in comparison with what i've done. I recently (re)treated my studio with sound absorption panels and isolated my studio monitors with Aurelex pads. Amazing how much better i can hear the low end.

Anyway, i find myself enjoying Reaper Radio and then one of my songs plays. ACK! My mixes sound bad in comparison!

It's causing me to revisit old mixes and make major changes. Guess that's a good thing... humiliating, but good.
