Just DLd... and:

Finally got a VST to play! Yea... and it's nice to have a host to test OSX VSTs since I'm using Logic only.

What's up with the wacky scrolling? Can't I just get side and vertical (scrolling) to do just that, like every other app in OSX does? It took me 30 minutes to try and get the scrolling to conform to anything I've used before... Maybe it's the beta version?

Count-in recording stutters before the first note on a VST... and seems very slow and clunky?

Does all this work better with audio and or Windoze... hence everyone so "hyped" about it? Evrything on the Mac version seems unfinished and clunky...

I realize it ain't gonna be Logic, but I'm testing it regularly to see how development is going.

Midi seems to be an afterthought at this point? how is it in the PC version...

The current OS X version of Reaper is in development. The Win version is VERY well developed.

Well, I'll take that as the midi AND audio is smoother on the PC.

Everything is smoother on the PC version which is already ver.2+, stable and officially released.
Mac porting is much younger, still in an early stage, and the developers are now facing some OSX specific difficulties in the screen redrawing area... I'm no programmer at all.. but you can read Justin's lament about that on his personal blog www.1014.org
