What's the verdict? I wouldn't have known it was even available for OSX if I hadn't stumbled on this forum. The main Reaper home page still shows that a Mac version is due sometime in 2008. I'm looking at a Mackie 1200f as my interface for Logic and Reaper. I've also got a Digi 002. But I'd love to know how Reaper's working. Pros & cons. I see bug threads here and there, but was just wondering what the full story was so far.

its in preview form not even beta.
On the other hand for tracking audio
and mixing its fine.
Lots of major features are missing but
trying it out now you can begin to learn its features.

just wondering if anyone has any idea when a beta might be available?
or furthermore,.. a published release!! aaahhh
lol
i'm jumping on the reaper train right now in hopes that i can build atracking environment around it in the near future, but i'm not willing to go to a PC just yet.
i feel there's a lot missing in the OSX version thus far so my plans have to stay based on a pt le tracking environment until reaper catches up.
it's working pretty much fine for what it does,..however there's little things, and bigger things all over the place that the mac version just doesn't have yet, though the PC does.
i can oly hope some beta start coming soon,..i'm very impatient.
until then,..it's definitely a good idea to jump on the bandwagon now, then you'll be ahead of the curve when reaper knocks pro tools down a notch in 5 years.

Reaper runs fine on a bootcamped iMac, if that's any help....save you buying a pc anyway (assuming yours is Intel).

what i wonder however:
is it worth people like us buying the bootcamp program, and then finding windows XP?....
or should we all just wait for a beta,..or final release,...
wish there was a time-fram for beta releases for mac.

I'm using Reaper .98 with my new iMac running 10.5.3 and so far it has been great. I've been mixing and tracking. I was going to wait until the beta to put my money down but so far this build has been good enough for my $.
I will buy the license tonight.
