Hi All,

I'm considering running Reaper on a mini PC, specifically the Minix Neo Z83-4 (link below).

Minix Neo Z83-4:https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01M24W77N/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=29J9OX032J2P8&coliid=I1UCPUPSPCWG97

Does anyone have any experience of this or opinions as to whether this is a viable option or not? Do you think there are sufficient system resources on such a system?

I haven't yet considered which audio interface to use this with. Any recommendations?. My requirements would be to record a live band (drums, bass, guitar, vox).

Thanks for your help.

Should do fine as long as you dont expect to use much fx or synths

Thanks! What part of the system is under spec'd for FX/Synths then? RAM, CPU Speed, Disk space, All of the above(!)?

Pretty much ram and CPU... Especially CPU.

You could always add an external drive through USB to record on also.. Using it as a straight direct recording multi-track system should be fine, but don't expect to use any realtime effects, etc..
