So my friend and I have been swapping music files for years, but it's always been a pain since he's on a Mac and I'm on Windows. Currently the Windows' version is the only released version of Reaper. He recently downloaded the most recent beta of the Mac version and said that his tracks were not aligning correctly. It sounds like Reaper is not offsetting his audio interfaces drive latency. Well, does the Mac version not have this yet? I'm not in Massachusetts where he is, so I can't check for myself?

Please help, he's new somewhat to PC recording (I'm not, but I'm in Florida)...well I guess it's computer recording...hee-hee.

Why don't you guys use consolidated tracks? I don't see anything going wrong with that...
I track with pro tools and mix with either Digital Performer, Logic8 or Reaper and never had timing issues...
