1st time posting a song on here so....A little experimental tune I wrote to test out a new mic. Realize this is not a polished piece musically but it turned out better than expected for just noodling around. Please critique the mix as I was trying some things

[Strange Ways]

The hook is pretty good and some fine playing. The drums could use a little more punch. The idea for a good song is there, of course the hard part always seems to be finishing it!

I thought the same on the drums as well. Just found out about side chaining to an aux buss and what a difference. Next song I do will include this technique. I have an older uad-1 with a 1176LE compressor and it sounds great.
