Apologies if this has been covered someplace...

Just got a minty-fresh new MacBook Pro, have 0.72 installed and it appears to be working just fine. I've got my Tascam FW-1082 plugged in, and the app appears to recognize it (I'm not at the rehearsal space, so I can't actually plug anything in, but from the software side it does look like it's recognizing the interface).

However, Reaper does not appear to support any of the control surface functionality...just the interface itself. Doesn't seem to matter how I've got the 1082 set....Mackie emulation, HUI emulation, native.... I get nothing.

Am I correct in believing that this is simply something that's not implemented yet?

Thanks!!!!

Hi,

Control surface support is not currently in the OS X version.. I'll look at hopefully getting it into the next preview build.

this is something that's holding me back quite a bit still.

i'll be moving soon and setting up a litle tracking studio with some saved money, for now i'm gonna have to build a poor mans pro toold HD rig, but if REAPER could allow contorl surface support for mac i'd make it the centerpice of my tracking environment.

I'll be moving from Cubase to Reaper as soon as I can fully use my Mackie Control universal + extender.

Hmmm… My PreSonus FaderPort has worked flawlessly in REAPER 3.75 from the get-go. Better than it does in PT9 and Logic 9, actually. I know that it's not as sophisticated as other, bigger, control surfaces, but everything works like it's supposed to, and it really does streamline my workflow.

Guess I'm fat, dumb, and happy, but that's nothing new…
