Install and overwrite

Hi,

It is something weird in OS X : when a folder replaces another one (with the same name) all the previous content is erased, instead of in Windows new files simply replace the old ones.
For example, if we have put some new themes in the themes folder they are destroyed when a new theme folder replaces it.

So the simple update method that consists to drag/overwrite can be a problem.
Do you plan to give an installer in the future that will allow to install new files without erasing the others ?

I have noted the same thing...

so i open the reaper folder that is contained in the .dmg.
then I select all but the colour themes folder and drag that onto my reaper folder in Applications...

I you replace applications/Reaper folder with the DMG/Reaper folder you loose all your settings too.

*speak in I statements :) I lose my settings doing this.

Yes, that's the way, or manually copy folders contents.

I have to feel that in a painfull way...
deleted some projects and had to record them again.
