I'm in the process of adding a section to the User Guide "Transition for Mac Users" or some such.
Would some kind soul who has Reaper on a Mac be kind enough to post a screen shot or shots of the Audio Configuration Preferences screens for the Mac, as these I believe are different from the PC?
Many thanks. :)

Thanks for this, but through no fault of yours my browser just isn't picking these links.
I've sent you a PM. Wonder if you'd be good enough to check your PM, then send me these as attachments via email?
Many thanks. :)

nicholas - here are 3 more window captures.
reaper-cap1 = Audio/Device - selecting an active audio input device
reaper-cap2 = Audio/Device - selecting an active audio output device
reaper-cap3 = Audio/MIDI - showing active MIDI devices
I'm on a MacBook Pro - it has 2 built-in audio devices - a microphone and a line-in. Most Macs have at least these 2 audio devices. I also have Soundflower installed - this is a free virtual audio-device - allows capturing audio from other programs in real-time. See http://www.cycling74.com/products/soundflower
And I have a Line6 Toneport KB37 attached. This is a USB audio interface (2-in, 2-out) and a 37-key MIDI Keyboard, plus MIDI controller knobs, buttons, and transport controls.
And I have a M-Audio Trigger Finger connected. This is a USB MIDI drum pad box, with more knobs.
The third shot shows the MIDI devices.
Hope this is of some assistance.
