Any plans to support Sony's extended WAV format, Wave64, which allows file sizes greater than 2GB?

The only reason I ask is that I was trying to import a Vegas project using EDL and Reaper choked on the media entries that were Wave64.

I have a workaround, but it would be very convenient if Reaper was able to import this format.

Thanks!

Randy

Is there any documentation for that format available online, or do we have to analyze it? :)

Wave64 spec:

and while we're at it, don't forget BWF:

:)

w64 support will be in the next release, and maybe BWF too.

did something interesting, actually.. when recording to wav/w64/aiff, if something happens and the power goes out (or somehow reaper gets killed), the headers in the wav files will be left in a usable (though not 100% correct) state, so you can read them in REAPER.. should be handy.

Nice work.

Should help bring more Vegas users in!

Cheers,
