2.43 Beta: Crashing in prefs

I am getting a lot of crashes while trying to edit various preferences. Sometimes it happens while I'm changing things, other times I get a pinwheel when I hit OK followed by a crash.

The only thing in the entire project this last time out was a single instance of ReaSynth on a single track with two midi events. Went into prefs and selected 'double-clicking sets time selection to item' or whatever it is. Then I clicked on another section, changed nothing and hit OK. Crashxor.

Same thing happens here (Macbook Pro 1,83 Ghz, 2Gb RAM, 10.4.11) - editing pref=crash. 2.42r00 did the same, it's slightly better now with 2.44 but still pretty unstable, that's why I'm still using 2.301.

I'm getting the same thing. 2.44beta (Macbook Pro 1,83 Ghz, 1.5Gb RAM, 10.5.4)
I have been setting up macros and reaper will quit without warning. doesn't seem to follow a patteren. in a hour period it probably quit 8 times.
has happened when searching through other preferences. just doesn't like having preferences windows open.

I've noticed that this problem is less pronounced or non-existent if I have no JS plugins (or any plugs in general) running.

I haven't used any js plugs. only cockos and minimal tracks. around 8.

Reaper runs fine like this, it's only when I go into prefs that i have a problem. I'll whack a few js plugs in and see what happens

So scratch my last post.

I just can't seem to get any consistency out of this bug. It happens so randomly and it isn't always repeatable. Sometimes clicking on a specific pref crashes twice in a row (after a restart) and other times it doesn't. This just seems to be a general problem with the preferences.

Still happening for me with 2.44 as well.
