2.44 problems

for REAPER v2.44
and ibook G4 1.33 with 10.4.11

JS doesnt work. adding a js effect makes Reaper quit without a warning. loading projects that use JS ( for example the demo one from Brad ) makes Reaper quit without a warning.

any chance for a fix ?

maybe i should mention that i installed Reaper 2.44 for the 1st time. that was 1st reaper ever i started on my ibook ...

I found a bug. When rendering a mix and "Automatically close when finished" is selected, the rendering window does close, but the Render dialogue is left on top until I move my mouse or hit any key.

When glueing or applying fx to several items at once, the process does not proceed to the next item until I move the mouse or hit any key.

Problem found in 2.42rc0, existence verified in 2.44 Beta.

another bug !
when open fx window for a channel it does smth strange:
it opens a normal fx window and then it opens a clone of that but not populated with values/text !

I switched from 2.33 to 2.44 with a project having 1 Master FX and 1 track FX.

In 2.44, I cannot add any FX of any name, with out a crash.

Soft clipper was the last one I tried to add, and when I closed the FX window, CRASH. Now Reaper crashes on startup every time. I recovered by opening the project file and remove the entire <FXCHAIN... section show below.

This is what gets written in the project file, and I guess it why it's crashing:

Same here: trying to insert JS: guitar amp to an audio track crashes Reaper.
iMac 3 GB RAM, OSX 10.5, Reaper 2.44beta

js plugin as fx works ok on intel macbook pro. no problems here.

but: apply battery3 and try to select a drumkit from the button 'empty instrument' does not work for me.
sometimes it does, but most of the time it is not working.
all in 2.44 beta

AND: did I miss something? or is it a bug?
if I try to duplicate some selected notes in the midi-editor with hold apple and drag, it does not work like I expected.
hold apple and click unselect the note and moves only this one, lettin the others selected.

if i select more than one track in the sequencer-window, hold apple and click/drag one track, it duplicates all selected tracks.

Thanks for raising this. I had reached the conclusion that his functionality didn't exist in the Midi editor yet, but I've never used Reaper on a PC. Can you do it on a PC? Option-drag to create a copy is a very common Mac convention, across loads of different applications, so I would love to see it implemented, or at least a copy drag function through some modifier combination. Copying, setting the editor cursor, then pasting is pretty clunky by comparison.

in my win-reaper version of 2.44 it works, so I think it´s a bug.

Still no luck here working with some Vsti's: Empty GUI window, see pic. (should be Arturia Analog Factory - no problems in Garageband and standalone.)

Add Plogue Bidule and Ticky Clav to the list of gui-less VSTs - some plugs will work in their AU version but not the VST version.

On another topic am I the only one who can't use shortcuts in the midi editor without crashing to the desktop?

I tried to use created actions (for example: select all + move octave up) in the midi-editor and it works fine. no crashing here. on a macbook pro, tiger.

hmm I'm on 10.4.9 PPC - my problem isn't creating actions - its using them! even the space bar or escape key will crash... wondering if I can have corrupted my key map?

2.45 build is up on landoleet.org.

It solved all my issues so far with FX crashing.
