Hi everybody! This is a bit neither here nor there but I'm using Reaper for this and don't dare crosspost so what-everrrr.

I'm getting a Skype guitar session together for anyone interested. Get together once a week or so, swap licks, talk tone, get live feedback, meet your fellow guitar playing Reaperites etc. Toleolu and I kicked this off last week, was pretty fun.

If you're new to Skype, please give a little thought to the details of how you're going to join a Skype session and get your guitar sound into Skype. It's more fun to have it sorted out beforehand.

Last week was Sun. at 8PM US West Coast (LA) time. But I'm flexible. Short notice I know, if you need more lead time let me know.

Post or PM if interested. See ya! Or not! :D

Skype is a rather bad choice for music exchange.

JamKazam is a lot better regarding audio quality and latency.

They feature a music and a talking channel per user.

Video is optional, saving bandwith is necessary.

Works nicely for me with reaper, using ReaRoute.

Yah, heard of JK, thanks for the tip. I'm kinda just getting started here. At this point, I'm thinking most ppl have Skype and don't have JK so start with the lowest barrier to entry. If ppl met others they wanted to jam with they could sort all that out as far as method and software etc.

Is JK installation and use easy? For an average user?

It's done in the most possible easy and user friendly way by the developers.

(This means it was a bit puzzling for me, being a techie)
