Before I got Reaper, I had tracked some tunes in Cubase LE4. I exported those individual tracks to 24 bit wav files, imported them into Reaper, set the metronome to the same setting as Cubase, and nothing lines up. Nothing.

I opened Cubase, turned on the click, recorded that into Reaper and it hit on every measure break exactly on the Reaper grid, but now the original click doesn't match the music in Reaper. Playing back in Cubase, the click lines right up with the music.

I need to go back in and do some more tracking and the click would be very helpful. Please don't tell me I have to go back to Cubase LE. Any ideas what is happening?

nothing lines up.

You didn't mention any way of lining the items up, so it's no wonder the click is not in place. What You should do is export all files from Cubase so that the file starts from click at beat 1, doesn't matter which bar as long as it's the same for every file. This way You can import the files to Reaper and easily drag them up to the beginning. Now the click should line up perfectly.

I suggest You download the latest beta for OS X, numbered 2.45.

I did export them correctly so they all start at the same time. It's just that there's no way to get the metronome to match. I set the metronome at 89, drag the files so the count off hits the metronome, and by the fourth or fifth measure, the metronome and the music don't match. I've changed metronome settings trying to find the magic number that will make them match, but nothing matches. In cubase, the click and the music are right together.
