Strange. I can insert and drag mp3's, wavs, ... without any problems. Even from the local FAT32 partition.
On which drive are the files located you tried to import?

Be sure that the Plugins\ folder is there and in the same directory as reaper.app ;)

Justin - might make your life easier to adopt a more mac-like arrangement of files - You can wrap all the critical files into a package to keep them together - files users might frequently access like color themes and presets are usually put in library/application support/reaper. Not sure how its done in Windows....

they are on the internal drive at my personal folder, no other drives are connected.

i checked that harddisk.
reaper can read and write project files, but can not read any media files.
this is only happening if reaper is launched from the native harddisk.
if you launch it from an usb stick, everything works as intended.
i've never seen anything like it (yet)
