MIDI devices not seen as in the audio/midi setup

When I want to select my midi devices, they are not displayed according to the midi instruments names of the OSX audio/midi setup ... quite annoying !

I am missing something ?

i don't get any option for midi on os x, never mind my bad i thought this was a ninjam thread. will try reaper and let you know what is going on.

Bringing an old thread back to life. I am having this same problem. Reaper is only recognizing one of several MIDI input/devices that are enabled in Audio-MIDI Setup.

Specifically, I'm trying to use my Euphonix controllers in either HUI or MCU mode with Reaper. Eucon seems set up correctly, and the Euphonix MIDI ports appear in OS X Audio-MIDI Setup. But not in Reaper's MIDI Devices preference pane.

Am I missing something? I've trashed the Reaper INI files, restarted, etc. etc.
