Remove contents of selection with ripple on has gone buggy

Using "remove contents of selection" when cutting across items on three tracks and with ripple editing all tracks on - if I then move the material to the right of the cut in a rightwards direction, the material I've cut reappears as a split item, on the first two tracks.

I realise there are other ways of accomplishing what I'm doing, but it's still valid user behavior.

I think this must have been introduced in the last version or two.
