OSX : midi send level fader not working ?

Hey guys,

I am currently returning to my OSX version of Reaper to give it a serious try for composing.

Now, while sending a midi signal to an instrument track, the level fader seems not to work.
Whatever the level fader position, there is no change in the notes midi volocity.

Muting works ...

I am missing something ?

I think the volume fader is only for audio.

You can change it in the midi item with CC 11 (Expression).

That's exactly it, since if you adjust the level you are going to change the MIDI data and when it arrives say at the instrument it will not work as intended. BTW- this is the same in both version of REAPER.

I call this a bug.

Honestly, the "one track rules them all" approach is defendable as long as you keep the coherence of the workflow A-Z...

If moving your fader of a midi track does NOT change the general midi level of track, what is it here for ?

It would help Reaper stay simple ...
