Hi all,

For those of you who are interested in synth-based music I've put up a one-minute sampler of some tracks I've been using to test REAPER at the following URL:

www.24track.net/reaper/4x4.zip

It's a 1.8MB download complete with REAPER project file.

No automation or real arrangement at the moment - just the source loops to play with.

Feel free to experiment. :)

Cheers,

Malcolm.

Sure. :)

I can send you an MP3 of it as well if you need it. Tried to post it here but the upload limit is too small.

Cheers,

Malcolm.

Hi all,

If you've downloaded my demo tune (above) please check out this remix file (4x4_remix.RPP, 1.2 KB).

It's an experimental remix done in REAPER using the same four sound files from the demo tune to see what's possible to accomplish with REAPER using a limited set of source sounds.

The remix takes the song to 3:02 minutes and makes use of 4 extra tracks, automated fade out on the Master fader, and several of the Jesusonic FX plugins.

To load the remix you must have already downloaded the demo tune and installed the optional Jesusonic FX plugins at REAPER installation time. Place the 4x4_remix.RPP file in the same directory as the 4x4.RPP and it should all load fine.

I'd be interested to hear performance reports from people. I did most of this remix on a laptop, then fine tuned it on my main rig, and it ran fine on both.

Cheers,

Malcolm.

*EDIT - Correct file attached now :)

OK I posted the original to http://www.cockos.com/reaper/samples.php

I await the remix .rpp :)

Cool - remix now attached (above) :)

If it loads correctly, it should sound something like this:

http://www.24track.net/reaper/4x4_remix.mp3

Forgot to mention that I made use of the ability to change the playback speed of individual items. Pretty cool feature :)

Are you planning to add a reverb to the Jesusonic plugins?

Cheers,

Malcolm.

Awesome, sounds great here. I updated the .zip on the samples page to include both projects.

As far as reverb goes, I haven't made a good reverb yet (you can somewhat use Delay as one), but there are some on here that are decent:

http://www.jesusonic.com/resources.php

If you don't have the full jesusonic installed, you can download the packages and rename to .zip to unzip them.

It's great to see so many people contributing patches to Jesusonic. I hadn't realised there were so many.

I'll wait until a reverb is included in REAPER before using one on any demo songs. New users don't want to be searching for plugins the first time they run a program.

Cheers,

Malcolm.
