I think I mentioned this somewhere before, but I didn't find it in a couple forum searches...

Items have long tooltips with useful stuff like how far you've stretched a stretch.

They should be moved from the right to the left of the mouse if they're going to fall off the screen. Like context menus.

It is a mild annoyance to have them jump from one side to the other, but not nearly as annoying as not being able to use them.

To reproduce, pick an item that ends in the right side of the screen. Alt-drag it longer. Watch the play rate in the tooltip as you drag.

agreed. tooltips for complex routings are hard to read at the moment.

maybe we could read them better if they had wordwraps and textformatting (bold, italic):

--------------------
Sends:
Track 1 "Reverb 1"
Track 5 "Reverb 2"
Track 6 "Delay"

Receives:
Track 16 "Bassdrum"
Track 20 "Snare"
--------------------

instead of all things on one line ...

and the track-numbers should be removed (http://www.cockos.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2812) additionally:

--------------------
Sends:
Reverb 1
Reverb 2
Delay

Receives:
Bassdrum
Snare
--------------------

bump. still too long "single line" tooltips here.

why not formatting them and using wordwraps? here a excellent example (tooltip in emule):
