The playing on this is way too loose, I think. It's really spoiling the song. I can't tell if it's just one track that's wrong, or more than that. Your other music doesn't seem to have this problem.

Apart from that, the sound seems clear, vocal and guitar tone is interesting. Musically not very adventurous, to be honest, but the lyrics are intriguing.

I reckon there is a cool ironic Roxy Music type song in there but I'm with axonaut, something isn't sitting right - between drums and bass, think.

I really like the slide guitar, every time i hear someone play a slide solo i think **** that sounds good, Wish i could play slide :(

I agree with Spike, the bass and drums aren't working together to lock in the groove, fixing this problem would make a world of difference.

Thanks for the comments.I've had a real problem with the verses as I wanted to keep the syncopation otherwise the feel of the lyric/metre won't work.
It is also a bit of an experiment on how I could get big sound with just Bass/Guitar/Drums and Vocals and also leave space.

Those who know me know I work with small budget gear and I like to keep things simple.

The bass is a stereo bass from Superwave,

Guitar and vocals are through a Toneport Studio GX and Podfarm and the Mic on this one is a cheap Condenser mic made really for Camcorders,

The drums are Jamstix2

Did another run at it.

In my inexpert opinion, I think the crashes and rides are somehow out of place... I dunno, maybe they should be shorter?
