I was in a baaaaaad way when I did this. I swore it would never see the lite of day but eh, what the hell right?

Listen closely and you can actually hear me sob.
So here it is warts, ghost notes, glitches and all:

Wouldn't be the same without the warts & glitches. Sounded very honest. Cool.

And hey, we wouldn't know good if we didn't know bad. Considering your last tune you're in a better space now. :)

The honesty and emotion in this one nearly brought me to tears.
Glad you're better now, man.

Wow thanks guys... I half expected to be laughed at.
Anyways I updated the mix and the link in the first post for Scott, so he can access from work. ;)

very cool. Good job.

Brave to do a single instrument piece. Leaves a lot to be exposed. Reminds me of my Old Man cover :)

Nice man.

I never heard the original version, but I think I'd like yours better! :)

You yourself on the piano as well?

No... I wish it was. :(
One M. Gorman sequenced this.

I really enjoy raw tracks like this. It's like sitting in a room with the person as they are performing it.

Thanks for sharing. You really put yourself out there with this one.

Thanks again for all the replies.
I knew it was out of my element when i did it. I dont know what it is about this song but it nearly moves me to tears every time i hear it... let alone sing it.
Here's the original and a choir version. Both beautiful and haunting:

The choir version... my god.
