Carbon redrawing problems

I have some tabs which I implemented by hiding and showing controls. The background for the tabbed area is done using a bitmap control. Works fine in Cocoa and windows, but screws up in Carbon. Anyone else seen anything like this? Fixed it?

Hmmm, I have tried this with the latest of everything, and now I can't get it to break any more. Maybe someone fixed something in WDL in the last few months?

Or maybe I'm loosing it?
