Is anybody into Celtic/Pagan Metal ?

I need some tips like how do I make it sound metal at 3/4 or 6/8 ;..; My drums always sound like a marching band or something...
Also any free loops or public domain midi Celtic melodies anyone ?

two things: 1) double kick 2) try to create odd beats with the drums instead of straight forward marching style beats obviously.

listen to dream theatre, they usually have some crazy time signatures, the drumming might give you some ideas.

the thing is I suck at drums - I've made several commercial projects but never involve drums (for a reason).
I'll think about the marching metal xD
