Damn, I need to proof read better.... the title should have been "Old Tape Days"....anyway...

Hey guys, in the spirit of revisiting the past, here's my addition:

It's an old tape recording from 2000 called "Ride the Sun" recorded by the band I'm in now... Cinema.

I'm not in this one but... I did the re-mastering of the mix. I guess I should upload the unmastered version for a point of reference but here is the final product:

Powerful chops on that singer and a solid tune. Who was the main songwriter then and now?

Nope... sorry that last link was me cussing out J TV with a bad Hindu accent.

The singer song writer is the guy from these vids... wearing the #52 shirt.

Hey Sammy....dont let that wine drinker in the posted video fool you. I have been collaborating recently with ScalerWave. I actually wrote this song back in 1997 and we actually wrote and recorded another version somewhere in our band "Cinema's" annals with a much stronger acoustic presence. I suffer from bipolar and that's pretty much where the lyrical content comes from. "Am I sane, or insane"...when I get happy, I have to ask myself, am I truly in a good please or am I in danger of moving toward mania.

Thanks for the positive feedback. This is my first personal posting of an original song out into the world and it's the most amazing experience!! I have been wanting to do this for so many year.

Hey, this song is actually a far more upbeat and simple song. I also wrote this one and the first time I brought it to the band, I had came up with the same melody line for the chorus we used on the recording, only instead of saying Ride the Sun, all that came to mind was "BOBBY ALLISON" the onld stock car driver and I kept singing it over and over.

There is a completely separate song that is from a far darker place.

I'm so confused??? No, I get. ;] Cool Judas rendition. Enjoyed Two of Us better, tho. Is that a sports bar? Looks JUST like one here in Atl., so much so, it kinda startled me....till i saw MD.

Are the other tunes you mentioned on RN?

...Oh, and nice to meecha, Kevin.

Hey, great pipes! Kevin, cinemaband, welcome to the boards. I was going to say that you are privileged to be able to work with ScalerWave (and you are), but from the sounds of things it goes both ways.

The song sounds great.

Here are a few more Cinema tunes, that were mastered last night:

Mind Over Matter - Kev on lead vox

After All - Ed on lead Vox - (the singer on our YouTube Genesis "Turn it On" and Floyd "Time" covers)

Kev brought over the cassette and a boom box and I took the headphone out into Reaper to make the .wav and tweak it up. Woulda used my cassette player but it's buried in the garage somewhere.

Great vox effects on "Breathe!"

Scaler is like Einstein in his Laboratory....Amazing to sit and watch him tinker and tweak and refine for 30 minutes and turn a complete mess into sweet music. We live literally 5 minutes from each other and have grown pretty close over the past few months...Dont get all emotional on me SW. He cries at the drop of a hat lately. Raise a glass to the power of Reaper. Look for some amazing stuff to come from Me and Scalesy...aka "Bitzen Pieces".
