Hey guys, I mixed these tracks that were posted on Ultimate Metal (DIs + midi drums) and I could use some extra feedback :

sounds good man!

what samples are those? the cymbals sit well and the snare sounds pretty big!

Thanks dude! Drums are a blend of Addictive Drums with additional snare and tom samples (Behindert snare is one of them).

Heh, the recently posted a mix of the first track, I found the same raw tracks on Gearslutz...

If you want to compare.

Your mix is great. Bigger sounding then mine, but at the same time slightly less punchy/in-yer-face to my ears. The eternal trade off and you went the other way I guess :) Everything gels very nicely, but maybe even a little too much? Some automation to bring up certain lead parts at certain times could really add some 'story' to it.

But well done!

Thanks alot for the comment. I've been super busy lately and didn't get a chance to reply. I like your advice about adding "story" to the mix. I definitely have to practice that!
