I'm considering a small control surface such as the PreSonus FaderPort, has anyone used any other or had any issues with control surfaces?

Seems like it works fine with Reaper.
Have a look here:

I can highly recommended the alphatrack as there has been a better driver written for it that adds massive functionality in reaper than you get with the faderport. :) search for alphatrack to find the thread and have a read up on it.

The FaderPort works fine with Reaper. It's small, USB powered...very portable. I've had no problems at all for the several months I've had it and it's very easy to get working - just search the forum if you get stuck.

Nice to see Mr Long has finally got with the in-crowd. The Idol fans will soon be waving giant BCF2000 foam pads on their hands.

I have had several folks come along and point out the benefits of the Berhinger BCF 2000. And for the price its hard to dispute. Having multiple faders is a huge asset and much more in keeping with traditional mixing.

I have a BCF2000 and am just using the MCU standard setup.

How do I set up so that the control surface only registers the visible files in my Reaper mixer view? Right now, it will still control all the hidden and subgroup files, making it kind of unwieldy.
Thanks.
