MIDI prefs unstable?

RME-FF800 midi is going unrecognized after I disabled Tranzport, confusion there.Working around by rebooting and messing with enable buttons.

I'm constantly having to reconfigure the Alphatrack because it gets muddled up with the midi ports on the soundcard, but I strongly suspect that's a Windows problem.

... though if I double click on an item to open it in a second instance of Reaper, that seems to cause an upset with midi prefs pretty reliably - which might be Reaper's problem rather than Windows.
