So I packed up my interface, a portable installation of Reaper 3.78 and some borrowed mics, and went out to a mates house in the country on a rainy day with no idea of what we were going to record, knowing we only had one day to do it and this is what we came up with.
You can read about the process of how we recorded it here:

Awesome... I love it, everything - the sound, writing, groove... Very post-90s/shoegazer/emo sound to it. Your vocalist sounds a lot like Rogue Wave.
Would listen more often if it were free ;)

the first two tunes were very good and very well recorded, but really "generic" sounding--meaning i could think of at least a dozen bands that could have done those. Frozen River stood out a little bit more.

Yeah we like to do some pop stuff and some weird stuff.
The drummer/singer is a death metal drummer and likes to stretch his pop side when we play I think, and I make mostly electronic/hip-hop stuff so it's a nice change to do something a bit diferent

It's awesome and very inspiring! There's me fiddling around with half finished songs for weeks on end, and you guys accomplish this in a day. On top of that; I actually really like the songs too. For me more the first 2 than the 3rd one though.

"Frozen River" is by far the better track of the three. It's just more interesting ... it "goes" somewhere.
Amazing what you guys did in a day, I enjoyed it.
