Okay I redid the vocals totally, and, with my voice I think this is as good as I am gonna get, I usually do much more downbeat stuff which my voice suits a little better :P
Anyway, it's the second track here: http://www.myspace.com/schtufbox
What do you think?
Also how would you improve on it? In plain english please I still don't understand some of the terms :D

hi asharin,

i think it sounds like a kinda concert-recording. i mean this mix has too much of "space", the drums are too soft, i miss the high freq (hats, tambourine, rides, etc) elements. or is it just becouse of the mp3 quality on myspace?

i'd do some vocal doubling, for strenghten the accent parts of the vocal. i'd tune your lowest notes in the vocal part a bit.

the guitars should be more powerful, (louder?) when they "really come in". (the accent parts, again) and i'd do more variations in the guitar part, not just these 8th chords. i miss the silences between the sounds. ok, i know this is a kind of style.

i think i feel the power what you try to present, but imho just keep on listening to your favorite artists/bands to get closer to them in terms of mix-sound.

i'm not a pro sound engineer, these are my ideas as a musician.

overall, i like this power-style rock-break crossover.

really.

Reminds me of the Stooges. I agree with beatybit, the rhythm guitars need to be be more in your face. Lead blends well.
