Sending multiple MIDI tracks changes event order
When you send multiple MIDI tracks to a single track the MIDI event order changes

When you have multiple MIDI tracks either sending to a parent track or inside a parent folder, the order of MIDI events is different from if you just solo a single track.

In the test project I've created I have two MIDI tracks in a folder. If I solo the first track I get these MIDI events:

0: 90 48 7F [Note On] chan 1 note 72 vel 127
1: 80 48 00 [Note Off] chan 1 note 72
2: 90 3C 7F [Note On] chan 1 note 60 vel 127
3: 80 3C 00 [Note Off] chan 1 note 60
4: 90 3C 7F [Note On] chan 1 note 60 vel 127
5: 80 3C 00 [Note Off] chan 1 note 60
6: 90 48 7F [Note On] chan 1 note 72 vel 127
7: 80 48 00 [Note Off] chan 1 note 72
8: 90 3C 7F [Note On] chan 1 note 60 vel 127
9: 80 3C 00 [Note Off] chan 1 note 60
10: 90 43 7F [Note On] chan 1 note 67 vel 127
11: 80 43 00 [Note Off] chan 1 note 67
12: 90 46 7F [Note On] chan 1 note 70 vel 127
13: 80 46 00 [Note Off] chan 1 note 70
14: 90 3C 7F [Note On] chan 1 note 60 vel 127
15: 80 3C 00 [Note Off] chan 1 note 60

If I solo the second track I get these events:
0: 92 30 50 [Note On] chan 3 note 48 vel 80
1: 82 30 00 [Note Off] chan 3 note 48
2: 92 3C 7F [Note On] chan 3 note 60 vel 127
3: 82 3C 00 [Note Off] chan 3 note 60
4: 92 33 50 [Note On] chan 3 note 51 vel 80
5: 82 33 00 [Note Off] chan 3 note 51
6: 92 3F 7F [Note On] chan 3 note 63 vel 127
7: 82 3F 00 [Note Off] chan 3 note 63

If both are played together then I get these events (order changes hilighted):
0: 90 48 7F [Note On] chan 1 note 72 vel 127
1: 92 30 50 [Note On] chan 3 note 48 vel 80
2: 80 48 00 [Note Off] chan 1 note 72
3: 90 3C 7F [Note On] chan 1 note 60 vel 127
4: 80 3C 00 [Note Off] chan 1 note 60
5: 90 3C 7F [Note On] chan 1 note 60 vel 127
6: 82 30 00 [Note Off] chan 3 note 48
7: 92 3C 7F [Note On] chan 3 note 60 vel 127
8: 80 3C 00 [Note Off] chan 1 note 60
9: 90 48 7F [Note On] chan 1 note 72 vel 127
10: 90 3C 7F [Note On] chan 1 note 60 vel 127
11: 80 48 00 [Note Off] chan 1 note 72

12: 92 33 50 [Note On] chan 3 note 51 vel 80
13: 82 3C 00 [Note Off] chan 3 note 60

14: 80 3C 00 [Note Off] chan 1 note 60
15: 90 43 7F [Note On] chan 1 note 67 vel 127
16: 80 43 00 [Note Off] chan 1 note 67
17: 90 46 7F [Note On] chan 1 note 70 vel 127
18: 82 33 00 [Note Off] chan 3 note 51
19: 92 3F 7F [Note On] chan 3 note 63 vel 127
20: 80 46 00 [Note Off] chan 1 note 70
21: 90 3C 7F [Note On] chan 1 note 60 vel 127
22: 80 3C 00 [Note Off] chan 1 note 60
23: 82 3F 00 [Note Off] chan 3 note 63

I've tested this on both machines I have access to (both Win7x64, both running Reaper 4.591x64) and it is consistent. This is also a very short range of notes just for demonstration purposes; in the actual song I'm working on it consistently happens for at least half the notes on some tracks. Since the VSTi I'm using is a monophonic synth this is a pretty big issue for me.

Regards,
Aaron
