Option to turn off auto-splitting of takes

We need a way so takes do not split when recording new takes. The way it is now multiple takes of various lengths on the time line gets messy in a hurry. FIPM in its current state is not the answer. This could be a first step in overhauling the takes and comping system in to something much more usable.
