Reaper for its own window manager
That would be a big deal for theme makers to make Reaper look like a solid piece. Windows' frames for VST plugins as well as other Reaper windows will look OS independent.

he means the ability to skin also the windows forms frames.
Basically what would do Windowblinds but just for Reaper. (think about the skinning of WinAmp, for example)

Right, it's about window frames.
Those are two examples of DAWs which employ that but in ugly way and cannot be customized

Very old request and i agree wholeheartedly
The current setup is tied into the crappy browser windows too
Hopefully they will tie this all up one day and we can have a slick looking setup
Not my usual worry i might add looks are not too important but the current white background browser against my nice mello dark skin gives me eyeball cancer

It should :) I realized that I set exactly the opposite. Can't change it now.

You don't want OS independence
Why the hell is that ?
Would make perfect sense considering Reaper has an OSX version in beta and is trying to be cross platform
Anyway i am just taken aback that somebody doesn't want OS independence hehehe
Never ever heard that before ever

I agree, the fancy graphics are pretty and all but I prefer standard mean clean and fast. we are making music and this isnt photoshop. I think time would be better spent on audio related stuff. Hope I'm not offending anyone but Drakeblood has a point.
On the other hand is it vector? Ableton is very fast and it skins out to the borders, maybe if it didn't take to long for development and didn't slow anything down.
I don't care about Apple/Mac they stole a great music app from the pc side in recent history and I HATE EM for it but for the linux user's maybe its a good thing. I still think that in a music app graphics are a low priority unless its for audio to video sync.
For all you Mac types read this (Insert Evil Laugh har har)

well its got its own elevator bars, just not the title.
i customize my entire windows gui just for reaper's frames as it stands... :)
hey this is a little off topic, but we should GET RID of the mixer 'menu' menu item. it takes up the whole top of the mixer, and its for one redundant 'menu' menu that we can get by right clicking on the title bar, and actually, you CANT get to it by right clicking anywhere on the stupid BLANK area that takes up the mixer right below the title bar... GET RID of that stupid thing!
