an action to play selected item(s) only
It would be great to be able to hear a selected item only. This can be tricky to do now, especially on a FIPM track.
If you invoke the action while an item is being previewed, it should cause the preview to stop.
an alternate playback cursor could be used for clarity.
Ideally this would work for midi items as well as audio...

I've done my own extension action for this but it isn't perfect and would be difficult to make very good, in addition to the eternal Mac porting issue. So a built-in solution would be greatly appreciated... :)
