Confirmed. Strange I haven't noticed before and I use that often. I had to zoom in to see it. I tought it snaped to the grid but no it seems randomly inserted next to the cursor.

Hope I'm not hijacking this thread.
I would also like to see an option to position the TS marker based on beats location (e.g., 2.1.00), not just on the time position (0:02.608).
Not sure if this would help this particular case. But if the bad positioning is caused by a rounding error in the time, positioning by beats might make it work smoother.
