Options to improve visibility of fade/cross-fade shape and their resulting waveforms.
Currently the visualisation of crossfaded media items makes it either difficult to see the waveforms within the fade, or difficult to see the actual crossfade itself.
As can be seen in each of the 3 examples, the important information (ie the waveforms and the cross-fade shape) are made much more obvious.
In these examples, "Auto-crossfade media Items when editing" is turned OFF. With this option ON the cross-fade would be vertically symmetrical as per the current behaviour, but the improved visibility remains.
I would add to this that I would also like to see the final resulting wave displayed in the fade zone (calculated live while nudging) rather than the two waves simply overlapping. It helps tremendously in identifying phase cancellation issues while blending the items together.
(see Cubase/Nuendo & Pro Tools (though not live) editing for a real world example)
