Item GUID not unique
Reaper SDK "GUID" parameter for items is not truly unique
When you copy an item using the clipboard, the new item still has the same GUID as the original. If you ctrl-drag the item to make a copy, a new GUID is produced as expected. This causes issues in Reaper extensions that depend on unique identifiers.
(GUID = globally unique identifier)

Confirmed - but it doesn't only affect extensions:
Simple select -> ctrl-dragToCopy, no extensions involved. And indeed, the affected items have duplicate GUIDs.
This really drove me mad since it "suddenly happend" on some projects and I couldn't figure out what I did wrong. |

NoiseMan, your issue simply looks like you have ripple editing enabled (check the toolbar button).
The reported issue only affects how Reaper extensions (like SWS and Xenakios) interact with Reaper.
