I hadn't enough time to test these fixes thoroughly but after a short test.. First bug seems to be resolved. Regarding the second, I can say that some old projects with corrupted data do open - which is good!
Some don't though..
About the third, edits are still not preserved

And even if I undo the edits in Reaper (with minimal undo states disabled) they do not come back. Edits are lost forever.
