The feature "selecting a single note sets the channel for new events" now plays nice with "CC selection follows note selection", but it still fails when the MIDI filter is set to any specific channel.
Consider this situation where a chord is played and each note has its own CC movement:
Selecting all CC belonging to a note is easy, but if only a part of the CC of a specific channel needs to be selected (so that the rest stays unedited by some following edit) and the CC on separate channels overlap like in the above pic, then the filter needs to be set like in the picture.
It needs to be set to the channel of the current note, so a marquee does not select CC on other channels and "Show only events..." disabled, so that other CC movement is still visible and other notes can still be selected by left click to switch to the next task at hand when this note is catered for.
(edit) At the moment I can select another note with a left click, but the channel for new events doesn't change. (/edit)
I am not proposing that "selecting a single note sets the channel for new events" should switch the filter from "All channels" to the specific channel, but
if the filter is already set to a specific channel it should
a) keep working when a new note is selected (aka switch the channel for new events)
b) switch the specific filter channel to the new active channel
Thanks for all the goodies! I am looking forward to the official release.
