I think there's a bug in ReaComp. When changing the RMS size and then defaulting it by double-clicking it returns to 0.5 ms instead of 5 ms, but when changing the parameter again by sliding upwards the next value is 5.1 ms, and if sliding downwards the parameter is 4.9 ms. So it does not seem to me that that's just a new default.
