Kind of.
But honestly It's unlikely to change significantly in v6.0 perhaps a little but I wouldn't plan on it personally.
Reaper fans will defend it to the death and ignore people that compare it to other daws but, for all the great things it does, Reaper lags behind other DAWS when it comes to basics. Like simple appearance customizing UX simplicity and stuff for non power users.
