Thanks. I had tried to follow those instructions by rightclicking the Tascam 1800 on the midi settings in Reaper to send send ("push") clock information. I am using the Midi out on the 1800 to go into the Midi in of the Korg. Maybe I will try the same thing with the USB and cut the 1800 out of the equation.
