A note:
USB1 can only do 12 Mb/Sec.
At 24 bits/sample, this is how many audio channels it can handle (the total of both input and playback mono channels):

Sample Rate -- Channels
44.1K -- 11
48K -- 10
88.2K or 96K -- 5

These are ideal numbers, with only the interface using the USB; in practice it will be less. Especially if you have other USB stuff plugged into the hub.

You didn't mention how many channels your interfaces have, but you might want to keep the sampling rate at 44.1K just so you don't load down your USB bus too much.

It may be that the driver will refuse to work with a USB1 port if it was designed for the faster USB2 or USB3.
