Pro Tip #2: Reverse Hits

One thing I've wished SamplOmatic had was a proper Reverse button. One thing I've wished Reaper could do was instantly Render/Save a clip just by dragging it into the Media Explorer, ala Ableton Live.

The workaround actually isn't too bad:

Drag the hit you want to flip into the track view, so it creates its own track. Select the clip and then right-click, "Reverse item as new take." Since we can't now drag the new clip back into the Media Explorer or into the SamplOmatic (bummer!), we have to properly Render it. Simply highlight the clip, Solo it or Mute any other tracks, and Render/Save to the folder that contains the original hit, with the name of that hit and "Rev" or something.

You've got a cool new reversed hit for later use, and you can now drag it into ReaDrums from the Explorer! While there are a number of steps to this, once you get the hang of it the process is quite quick.
