It is absolutely ridiculous to make an issue over whether something is a "donation" or a fee, especially over this issue.
Grow up and move on to the important things in life and simply be grateful that somebody invests the huge amount of time to make available one of the best themes for however cheap you want to be to either pay, donate, gift or whatever...
