So the correct way is to create a Windows device driver that converts "midi over BT" devices to standard Midi devices to make the usable for any Midi aware software and not just for Reaper.

Such a device driver would be called a "Midi over Midi-over-BT" driver.

I do know that such device drivers do exist for "midi over Ethernet" and are provided for free by community projects.

Well it does not need to, as appropriate software is available (e.g. by Bome) that creates a standard Midi device routed to a hardware connected via WiFi or LAN (Ethernet)

I totally disagree. Its not sensible to enable a transport mechanism in a dedicated user program, while a device driver could enable it far a complete class of user programs.

Of course it would be a nice move if the friendly engineers at Cockos would provide such a device driver
