If you are finding LinVST too much of a hassle then try Airwave, it does the same and even has a GUI to help you with the conversion. All you'll need is a folder to place the converted plugin files, then add the folder path to your Reaper and re-scan your plugins.
Some plugins will not work but most will work. just make sure you don't use too many of them as they tend to consume more resources than native Linux plugins.
