I've actually put both those commands together in my list, try it out!
So when you press '5', for example, it will set any selected note, as well as any following inserted notes, to a half-note.
Feel free to start with mine and expand on it! I'm not possessive, and it would mean you have more time to do something with the rests, which I'm utterly incapable of
