But if you're determined to try anyway, simply change the sample rate of the project and your interface (so you can listen to the mix). Reapers sample rate conversion is pretty transparent.

I'll be able to try this later today once i get back home. I did try this I Reason and that CPU load dropped more than 50%. I'll let you know what happens
